Role Overview:
Our client, a leading IT services provider in Kerry, is seeking a skilled and motivated IT Field Service Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role involves delivering on-site technical support and maintenance services to a diverse client base, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Provide on-site technical support for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
* Perform installations, configurations, and upgrades of IT equipment, including servers, PCs, printers, and network devices.
* Diagnose and resolve technical problems promptly to minimize downtime for clients.
* Conduct routine maintenance and system health checks to ensure optimal performance.
* Manage and document service requests and resolutions using the company's ticketing system.
* Collaborate with remote support teams to address complex technical issues.
* Provide training and guidance to clients on IT systems and best practices.
* Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
* Proven experience as an IT Field Service Engineer or similar role.
* Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
* Proficiency in network troubleshooting and configuration (LAN/WAN, routers, switches).
* Experience with hardware diagnostics and repair.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within the Kerry region.
