Part Qualified Accountant – Galway
My client, a large software/telecommunications multinational based in Galway are looking to hire a part qualified accountant. This role is for a Part QualifiedAccountant for EMEA Centralised Accounting Function. This is a permanent role which will allow a part qualified accountant to develop, learn new skills and take on responsibility in financial accounting.
The role will initially be onsite with a hybrid model after settling in period.
Responsibilities
1. Responsible for the timely and accurate posting, management and review of month end close and accounting transactions, P&L and balance sheet account analysis, review, reconciliation & resolution.
2. The development of strong relationships with direct and indirect stakeholders
3. Act as a champion for the Shared Services philosophy and architecture for Finance.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills - the ability to work effectively across multiple functions and different cultures.
5. Contribution to the definition of service standards and continuous management of service level agreements (SLA)
6. Contribution to the establishment of a continuous improvement culture and assisting with change management with direct and indirect stakeholders.
7. Maintains ledger integrity and ensures financial compliance with the Worldwide Controller’s manual and to all applicable laws and regulations.
8. Ensure financial records are in compliance with GAAP. Consistently maintains appropriate internal controls and upholds company policies & procedures including Worldwide Controller’s manual.
9. Interacts successfully with internal and external auditors and supports audits by providing timely & accurate data and communication.
10. Evaluates processes and recommends & implements process improvements.
Desired Experience and Requirements
11. Part Qualifiedaccountant (CIMA, ACCA or CPA) or finance background.
12. A candidate who has started there fully qualified journey (ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA)
13. Knowledge of Microsoft tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word) required.
14. Knowledge of SAP or equivalent is beneficial.
15. Process focus: Skills in process analysis, assessment and improvement and working in a team environment where continuous improvement is encouraged.
16. Interpersonal skills: An effective team player, whose energy and well-developed communication skills make this person a persuasive leader, negotiator and relationship builder.
