Stores/Stock Controller (Engineering)
A challenging opportunity has arisen for an Engineering Stock Controller to join our leading Food Manufacturing client in their state-of-the-art factory in Shercock, County Cavan.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the Engineering Stores, ensuring parts are in stock and available to minimize downtime on the production floor.
Main Responsibilities:
* Maintaining a clean and tidy store environment and performing general warehouse duties
* Receiving parts, verifying accuracy and quality, and storing them in designated locations
* Inspecting deliveries for damage or missing items
* Returning damaged or defective parts to suppliers for replacement
* Processing part requests and ordering from suppliers
* Recording and tracking the return of damaged parts for repair
* Conducting daily cycle counts and maintaining accurate records of stored parts
* Ensuring correct stock levels using part history and Min/Max levels
* Tracking critical and urgent deliveries with suppliers
* Identifying parts to correct specification and sourcing alternative suppliers to reduce costs
* Organizing and optimizing warehouse space for safe and efficient storage
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have experience in stores and stock control, as well as strong computer skills.
