In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient daily operations of the warehouse and distribution activities within the Catering Disposables business. This includes overseeing all key functions such as stock management, order fulfillment, and timely delivery, ensuring that processes run seamlessly and meet the highest standards of performance. You will work closely with the Operations Director to implement strategies that enhance operational efficiency, drive continuous improvement, and maintain cost-effectiveness across all aspects of warehouse and distribution operations. Your leadership will be critical in maintaining a high level of service, quality, and safety within the business.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead daily warehouse and distribution operations (goods-in, stock control, pick & pack, despatch).
2. Manage costs, staff, recruitment, and performance.
3. Develop and track KPIs for performance.
4. Promote continuous improvement and manage related projects.
5. Ensure service, cost, and quality standards are met.
6. Oversee staff and site security when senior manager on-site.
7. Ensure compliance with company standards (quality, HR, health & safety).
Qualifications:
1. 10 years operational management experience
2. Experience in managing teams of operatives
3. Continuous improvement/lean experience
4. Experience in Warehouse Management Systems and good general computer skills
5. Experience in warehouse stock control / cycle checks
6. Experience in labour budget control, productivity measures and KPIs
Would love you to have:
1. Supply chain qualification or similar
2. Yellow/Green Belt Lean qualification or similar
