Job Opportunity
They are currently seeking a Value Stream Team Leader to join an experienced production team in their manufacturing plant in Wexford.
Role Responsibilities
1. Supervision of employees within the Production Department, where leadership, direction, training and coaching are offered to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
2. Maintaining excellent standards of housekeeping and health & safety, ensuring direct reports are trained to a high level and work accordingly.
3. Ensuring production is carried out in accordance with GMP, ISO and all regulated bodies, participating in audits and inspections, proactively highlighting and addressing any issues around compliance.
4. Management of employee relations issues within the department, dealing with issues in a reasonable, fair and consistent manner, in conjunction with direction from the Head of Operations and/or HR Manager, including managing and implementing disciplinary actions for absenteeism, compliance, engagement, quality of work, where necessary.
5. Ensuring production is carried out in a timely manner, adhering to production schedules, to meet customer demand and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
6. Providing direct reports with leadership, direction, training and coaching to achieve work objectives and improve performance and skills.
7. Support and proactively engage in continuous improvement and problem-solving projects across the function, bringing a comprehensive knowledge of lean.
8. Accountable for compliance with batch record completion, risk assessments, H&S assessments, closing out corrective actions and all associated paperwork.
9. Preparing (i.e., inspecting, verifying condition) all equipment, in conjunction with the Maintenance Team, used in the manufacturing process prior to use to ensure efficient, clean and safe operation.
10. Ensuring optimal use of resources at all times and deployment across the organisation as required.
11. Working to ensure the highest level of teamwork and cooperation with all colleagues.
Requirements
* 5+ years production supervisory experience
* Strong people management and leadership qualities
* Proven track record in continuous improvement
* Ability to multi-task, prioritise and apply good time management skills
* Proficient in the use of MS Office packages, including operational data sheets
Reporting Structure
The successful person shall report to the Head of Operations.
