PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
• With new and exciting client mandates, our high performing Construction team is looking for a 2 PQE + lawyer to join our expanding Dublin practice.
• You will act for a number of large corporate entities, developers, contractors and Banks supporting a variety of non-contentious and contentious construction work including infrastructure, energy and projects.
• We provide first-class, technical insight and training and are looking for an enthusiastic team member who wants to build their long-term career with us and become a well-rounded lawyer providing quality, commercial advice for our clients.
THE TEAM
• The Dublin Construction Team currently comprises of a Partner, Legal Director, Managing Associate, Associate and a Legal Executive. The team and its client base have grown since the merger and have further ambitions to expand as part of an international firm with a global reach.
• The team advise on every aspect of Construction Law across all sectors of the industry, both contentious and non-contentious. The work of the group is hugely varied and includes buildings, civil and process plant engineering, energy and infrastructure. The team also provide project support and advice to our wider Real Estate, Banking and Corporate teams. Our client base includes manufacturers with process engineering plants, developers, contractors, design consultants, sub-contractors, approved housing bodies and funders and it has a strong focus on projects in the living sector including student accommodation, care facilities and housing.
• The team has in depth knowledge of the construction sector and its practice includes advising on health and safety, building control, standard contract forms such as JCT, NEC, MF1, FIDIC, RIAI, PWC, bespoke contract drafting and negotiation, development funding, dispute mangment and mediation, conciliation, adjudication and Court proceedings.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN THIS ROLE
• You will support a wide variety of construction work from advising government bodies, sponsors, funders, developers, employers, operators, contractors, sub-contractors and professional teams in relation to project procurement techniques and dispute avoidance and resolution mechanisms.
• You will support the drafting of and advising clients on a range of construction issues and documentation including consultant appointments, warranties, building contractors and development agreements, in a range of sectors including living, office, retail, life sciences, process engineering, energy and industrial.
• You will assist in dispute management including in conciliation adjudications and litigation and will be highly organised in administering large volumes of documents.
• Working closely with existing clients to maintain and develop relationships, acting as a trusted advisor capable of providing timely and quality advice whilst managing expectations.
• Working collaboratively as a cohesive team, to execute large-scale, high-value, client matters to the highest standard.
• This is a high performing, cohesive and busy team with a strong reputation for providing Associates with early levels of responsibility within a supportive and stretching environment and therefore you can expect to take a leading role on some matters. At this stage in your career the team will take a genuine interest and support you with your development therefore offering excellent career prospects.
YOUR AREAS OF KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE
To be successful in this role, what are the:
• Have at least 2 years + experience within Construction matters, seeking a new challenge.
