Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2).
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the nursing team, ensuring high-quality patient care, and maintaining the unit's operational efficiency.
This is a pivotal role requiring strong leadership, clinical expertise, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the Step Down Unit, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Lead, manage, and support the nursing team, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain and improve patient care standards. Coordinate patient care plans, ensuring effective communication between multidisciplinary teams. Monitor patient outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives as needed. Provide clinical expertise and guidance to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices and clinical guidelines. Manage staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and identify training and development needs. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards. Promote a culture of patient safety, continuous improvement, and professional development within the unit.
Qualifications and Experience:
Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Minimum of 5 years of post-registration nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role. Experience in a step down unit, rehabilitation, or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Excellent clinical skills and a thorough understanding of patient care practices. Exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
