Patient Accounts Administrator (Full-time, permanent role)
We are currently recruiting for a Patient Accounts Administrator to join the Patient Accounts Team on a full-time basis for a permanent opportunity.
Duties And Responsibilities
1. To provide a full range of administration duties including processing patient accounts, dealing with accounts queries, receiving payments and issuing receipts.
2. In Patient and Day Case Billing, both insured and non-insured patients.
3. Familiarity and understanding of coding for medical procedures, completing medical claim forms and compiling completed submissions to relevant medical insurers.
4. Resolution of all patient billing complaints and queries.
5. Ability to review ageing accounts on a monthly basis, reporting of inconsistencies and correcting of errors as appropriate.
6. Following up outstanding accounts to ensure timely receipt of payment.
7. Carry out ad hoc costings for patient procedures.
8. To provide support in reporting on Excel/Word/PPT.
9. Carry out basic administration e.g., filing, photocopying etc.
10. To maintain and uphold procedures in relation to patient confidentiality and safe-keeping of patient records.
11. Any other duties which may be reasonably delegated from time to time by your line Manager.
12. To be involved and take responsibility for other day-to-day activities of the Accounts function as required.
Candidate Requirements
1. Entry Level, no previous experience required, training will be provided in role.
2. Willing to learn on job and use own initiative, with support of senior team members.
3. A working knowledge of Word Processing and Databases desirable, but training will also be provided.
4. Excellent numeracy skills, and focus on attention to detail.
5. Have strong communication and influencing skills.
N.B. The Finance department works on a team basis and each member of the team is expected to fully contribute to the work of the department.
