Grade VIII Management Accountant
The Grade VIII Management Accountant will support the General Manager Finance and the Regional Director of Finance to ensure timely access to financial and related information for members of the Integrated Health Area management team and other budget holders, enabling them to meet their obligations and responsibilities.
The role demands highest standards of financial reporting and support in compliance with best practices regarding financial processes, procedures, and controls.
Key Responsibilities:
* To ensure that all stakeholders have timely access to necessary financial information, including analysis and commentary required for decision-making.
* To maintain the highest standards of financial reporting and support, adhering to best practices in terms of financial processes, procedures, and controls.
Essential Criteria:
* Candidates must be a current member of a recognized or prescribed accountancy body (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ACMA, CIMA, ACA).
* Suitable candidates will have senior post-qualification experience in a large, complex organization with multiple stakeholders, demonstrating a proven track record of influencing senior stakeholders to consider financial consequences.
* Significant experience in forecasting, budgeting, preparation of monthly management accounts, and variance analysis is essential.
* Proficiency in preparing, reporting, analyzing, and manipulating large volumes of financial data and producing reports is required.
* Possessing the requisite knowledge and ability, including a high standard of suitability and management ability, is necessary for the proper discharge of duties.
