The Cluster Revenue Manager role is a key position within the MHL Hotel Collection. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing revenue strategies for one or more hotels within our group. This includes proactive and strategic revenue management to achieve budgeted sales targets, while evaluating and optimising business opportunities across the MHL Hotel Collection.
The ideal candidate will need to be able to work in a fast-paced and customer-focused environment. They will be required to implement revenue management operations, procedures, and best practices, identify new revenue opportunities for each hotel, and provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for each hotel.
This role also involves optimizing and expanding distribution partnerships for each hotel, acting as an overall business development consultant for each hotel's manager/owner, and challenging and influencing hotels to improve service level and operational standards.
The Cluster Revenue Manager will be responsible for building and maintaining strong working relationships with levels of staff at each of the client hotels, traveling regularly to the hotel/s, and embedding a revenue management culture in each hotel. They will also assist with revenue projects/new system installations and implementations in the hotels.
In addition to these responsibilities, the Cluster Revenue Manager will oversee revenue management and distribution strategy of the hotels and manage day-to-day yield operations. They will perform competitive benchmark studies and follow market trends for each hotel, create and develop pricing strategies for each hotel, and provide weekly dynamic forecast of expected results, variances, and budget comparisons.
The ideal candidate should have a strong sense of need for achievement of goals and success, sound analytical and numeric skills for fast data crunching, ability to work under own initiative in a highly pressured environment, good listening skills, and the ability to anticipate business needs. They should also be able to develop relationships with 3rd parties and the hotel teams, prioritize between revenue generating actions and time-consuming tasks with low yield impact, and have well-developed interpersonal, adaptive influencing, and supervisory management skills.
The Cluster Revenue Manager will be based at the Spencer Hotel, home to our cluster reservations and revenue team. They will be part of a group of 12 hotels and work with well-known international brands: Hilton, Inter Continental, Marriott hotels.
