Job Title: Quality, Safety & Risk (QSR) Officer
Location: Evergreen Care NH – Various Locations
Position Summary:
The QSR Officer will work closely with the Head of Quality, Safety & Risk to support administrative development, implementation, and ongoing quality and safety initiatives across our nursing home group. This role is essential in ensuring compliance with HIQA standards and enhancing the overall quality of care provided to residents.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Continuous Support with QSR Improvements: Assist in the implementation of a comprehensive internal quality and safety framework that aligns with HIQA regulations and standards.
2. Data Management: Support the collection, analysis and presentation of data related to quality and safety metrics (KPIs), including resident satisfaction surveys and incident, complaint & audit reports.
3. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of quality improvement initiatives, training programs, incident, complaints & audit reports, and compliance audits to ensure ease of access for staff.
4. Audit Administrative Assistance: Support the planning of internal QSR audits to evaluate compliance and identify areas for improvement; Assist in preparing data reports on audit findings/actions.
5. QSR Reporting System: Support the administrative implementation of a streamlined QSR reporting system;
6. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with the Head of QSR and provide administrative QSR support to Senior Managers, Regional Managers, General Managers/Persons in Charge, and Nursing staff to enhance organisational QSR projects, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
7. Communication Strategy: Assist in the development and distribution of QSR communications related to quality and safety initiatives, ensuring staff are informed and engaged.
8. Technology Utilisation: Utilise ViClarity/EpicCare and similar digital tools to track quality.
Skills:
1. Strong organisational and documentation management/development skills.
2. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with staff, residents, and families.
3. Proficient in using Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Apps including ‘To Do’, ‘Loop’, ‘Word’, ‘Excel’, ‘Teams’ etc) and experience with use and set up of quality/care management software (e.g. ViClarity & EpicCare) preferred.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
5. Knowledge of HIQA Standards & Regulations: Familiarity & experience with HIQA standards and regulations in Residential Care for Older Persons is a plus.

Working Conditions:
This position may involve travel between nursing homes within the group. Occasional evening work may be required for training sessions or audits.

Qualifications:
1. Education: Degree in business management, quality assurance, or similar.
