Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives
ID Supply Chain is currently executing an Enterprise Excellence program where it is deploying enterprise excellence principles across the entire organization including 6 manufacturing sites and divisional functions. This Enterprise Excellence Program Manager plays a leadership role in ensuring that through strong program management and systematic assessment, the global Enterprise Excellence program fosters a culture where everyone, every day is engaged in driving continuous improvement and behaves in a way that is consistent with our Pledge. This individual should be a current or future candidate for an Operational Excellence Senior Manager position.
Major Responsibilities
Key project responsibilities include:
1. Leading the strategy, execution, and ownership of the Global Shingo Program Management and support of Change Management capability building.
2. Supporting the Enterprise Excellence program within the division Sustainability workstream and effectively coordinating program deliverables with Division Enterprise Excellence team members. Developing, communicating, and implementing project plans for global programs impacting multiple sites and functions, including longer-term strategy and near-term execution of work plans.
3. Furthering the Enterprise Excellence journey through the maturity assessment process, diagnosing, assessing, and giving feedback for roadmap development and gap closure through leading a rigorous process of evaluation, report writing, pulse checks, and on-site support.
4. Providing strong project management, proven influencing, coaching, and mentoring capability at all levels from associate to senior leadership. Regularly providing program updates and garnering decisions needed from the most senior leadership team (DVP).
5. Managing relationships with key consultancy groups and organizations to further the efforts and interests of our Enterprise Excellence journey. Building change management capability across the network, responsible for training, measuring, and consulting on key change initiatives. Taking an active role in educating others on Enterprise Excellence (OpEx methodologies) and Change Management will be key to creating a sustainable culture. Organizing and leading Enterprise Excellence training for site and division personnel. Ensuring projects are integrated with other business activities, improvement projects, and business strategies.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering, Operations, or Business) is required or extensive equivalent experience. MBA with emphasis in Operations is a plus.
Background
Candidates should have 5+ years of experience across the areas of manufacturing operations, manufacturing support systems, quality operations, project management, or continuous improvement functions. Other demonstrated experience required:
1. Working SME knowledge of manufacturing plant and continuous improvement (Operational Excellence) tools/principles.
2. Ability to manage multiple continuous improvement initiatives.
3. Developing, communicating, and implementing project plans for global programs impacting multiple sites and functions. Solid project management skills and team leadership skills.
4. Proven influencing, coaching, and mentoring capability.
5. Knowledge of other functions that provide inputs regularly, i.e., Logistics, Engineering, Planning, Finance, etc.
6. Strong analytical competencies.
7. Strong Change Management & Facilitation skills.
8. Ability to travel 30-50%.
Accountability / Scope/Budget
This position operates with only general direction and minimal supervision from the Enterprise Excellence Program Senior Manager and has full responsibility to make decisions that directly impact OpEx goal achievement.
