Maintenance Supervisor - Navan
Cpl are working with our client partner who is a heritage brand name in the insulation manufacturing business.
The company, established in Ireland 30 years ago, has recently merged with a global leader in the insulation industry and they are now part of an 8,000 strong workforce across 105 countries.
As the business continues along a path of rapid growth with a significant expansion plan now in place, they are currently recruiting an experienced Engineering / Maintenance Supervisor to lead the team in their manufacturing facility in Navan.
This is a full-time permanent job opportunity working on a day shift.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Engineering Maintenance Supervisor will:
* Lead a team of 9 skilled and high-performing maintenance technicians
* Coach and mentor the maintenance technician team and support continuous learning and development of the technician team.
* Champion a 'Culture of Curiosity' and promote open communication and engagement.
* Be situationally aware in terms of equipment conditions and use available resource pools to prioritise and address equipment conditions and performance issues in real-time.
* Have line-side presence and visibility to understand equipment performance-related issues.
* Use the maintenance team's resources, and skillset combined with data and standard problem-solving structures to improve whole system performance.
The role involves coordinating and scheduling technician rosters and managing time and attendance systems, as well as coordinating shift cover for planned/unplanned absences and pre-approved vacation time off and managing shift-to-shift handover meetings across the manufacturing areas.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for owning training for maintenance team members, identifying training gaps and compliance to existing On-the-Job training plans (OJT) and updating OJTs as required.
They will be active in the recruitment process within the maintenance technician function, develop, document, and communicate annual maintenance team performance objectives and adhere to all company and legislative health, safety, and environmental requirements linked to site goals.
The ideal candidate will have a Senior Trade Qualification/National Diploma/Relevant Engineering Degree and hands-on practical experience of manufacturing, excellent interpersonal and communication skills across departments and functions, excellent customer relations' skills, and the ability to satisfy demanding customer requirements in a fast-paced environment.
The estimated salary for this position is €55,000 - €65,000 per annum, depending on experience.
