The Role:
Reporting to the SVP Pricing, this role will primarily research, evaluate and develop commercial, strategic and financial analysis as a key partner in the execution of deals with the Origination, Capital Markets & Trading and OEM Teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deal Activity:
2. Pro-active collaboration within cross-functional deal teams for transactions of all types (Sale & Leaseback, Placement, Remarketing, Restructuring, Trading, OEM);
3. Perform bespoke financial analysis and prepare ad-hoc financial models for a wide range of investment opportunities and portfolio management decisions;
4. Recognise key elements from modelling results, with ability to interpret, evaluate, and effectively communicate;
5. Add value by providing advice on optimal deal structuring through combining a knowledge of assets, financial metrics, and deal economics;
6. Ensure familiarity with the corporate business plan and structure deals to meet business plan hurdles;
7. Understand all aircraft maintenance and technical aspects of a deal which have an economic impact;
8. Evaluate the accounting and profit/loss impact of proposed deals and provide insightful guidance on same;
9. Input into Approval Committee papers for deal approval.
1. Modelling:
2. Transaction Modelling and Analysis - calculate transaction yield returns, present value of cashflows (including maintenance forecasting), accounting profit & loss impacts, and aircraft asset valuations;
3. Model Development – Build/maintain long term financial models/tools that will increase efficiency and contribute to the success of the organisation.
The Person:
You will be naturally numerate and possess a passion for financial and commercial analysis. You will have an ability to handle large volumes of data and information, deal with a high degree of complexity in such information, and draw clear conclusions through insightful analysis. You will possess an ability to operate in a highly pressurised environment, whilst also engendering trust amongst stakeholders by delivering highly accurate and reliable outputs. You will be able to articulate complex concepts and influence others through compelling arguments and rationales. You will be focused, analytical and resourceful as well as being an excellent communicator and relationship builder. You will be an active participant in your team and the broader organization and will proactively drive coordination and collaboration to achieve task delivery.
Skills & Experience:
1. Quantitative honours degree e.g. finance, actuarial, engineering, science etc. Relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA) is an advantage;
2. Minimum two years financial modelling experience within aircraft leasing, aviation lending, structured finance, banking, or financial services.
3. Strong numerical, analytical and critical analysis skills, proven ability to find creative solutions to extract value.
4. Highly commercial, thorough, with keen attention to detail and an ability to identify critical issues and effectively communicate to stakeholders.
5. Ability to review the ‘big picture’ from a commercial perspective.
6. Strong and independent minded with the ability to express your views with conviction, showing bravery in confronting established thought while recognising alternative perspectives.
7. Professional and personable with the ability to develop diverse stakeholder relationships, skillfully navigating challenging situations to drive optimal business outcomes.
8. Showcase a track record of delivering successful outcomes in a fast-paced commercial environment. Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic team setting while managing multiple competing work streams.
9. Team player that strives for ambitious outcomes and supports others.
10. Excellent knowledge of, and advanced modelling proficiency in, Microsoft Excel.

13. Capable of working across time zones, to tight deadlines and under own initiative.
