Pionew Ireland Limited (PIL), is a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP), registered by the Central Bank of Ireland (Central Bank) pursuant to section 106G of the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Offences) Act 2010, as amended.
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) PCF 12 & 52 to develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies and procedures. The successful candidate will play a key role in upholding the regulatory compliance and financial security standards as mandated by the Central Bank of Ireland. This is a Pre-Approval Controlled Function (PCF) role, and as such, the selected candidate will require approval from the Central Bank of Ireland before formally taking on the responsibilities.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop, initiate, maintain and revise policies and procedures, as well as monitor whether the measures, policies, controls and procedures implemented by the company comply with its AML/CFT obligations, MiCA, DORA, and other applicable regulations.
2. Understand, maintain awareness of and ensure compliance with both AML and compliance regulatory requirements including local and EU laws, international and industry standards and best practices.
3. Support regulatory applications, maintain current regulatory licenses/registrations.
4. Respond to ad hoc queries from the Business regarding Ireland compliance matters.
5. Prepare weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to Senior Management.
6. Produce high level summaries and updates for Senior Management.
7. Closely cooperate with the business and product team to ensure full compliance with all applicable regulations.
8. Serve as primary contact person for the Central Bank of Ireland, and other competent authorities, and handle filings and report to the authorities.
9. Keep abreast of regulatory rule changes and developments, assess their impact and as appropriate, circulate to management to consider next steps.
10. Keep up to date with MiCA and other regulatory developments, technical standards and industry solutions.
11. Assist the company in overseeing and monitoring its overall risk exposures.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
1. Degree in a relevant field;
2. Proven experience as Head of Compliance (PCF-12) & Head of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorist Financing (PCF-52) in previous employment;
3. At least 2 years’ experience in a similar position with a VASP, familiar with VASP regulations in Ireland and EU;
4. Resilient, ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
5. Ability to pay high attention to detail and coordinate with teammates across the globe;
6. High level of confidentiality and integrity.
