AIG’s Information Technology functions include application development and management, enterprise architecture, and technology risk and compliance.About the role What you need to know: Within the Standard Commercial Underwriting Platform (SCUP) program, the Application Deployment Release Engineer role will be working with Business and Technical Analysts, Solution Architects, Platform engineers and environment managers to coordinate delivery of new business capabilities from testing phases to production release.Familiarity with Scaled Agile continuous delivery pipeline and DevOps processes is required. The ability to work with technical and business partners to satisfy the needs of enterprise development controls, cross platform architectures and business regulatory needs are considerations for this position.SCUP projects include a combination of new and enhanced capabilities on the Digital Workflow and Policy Administration System for Commercial Insurance as well as iterative releases to satisfy regulatory considerations. Key Responsibilities:Assist with release management for a complex insurance transformation program;Sustain release governance processes;Work with release manager to complete release management processes and activities;Support and monitor assigned release management activities;Coordinate build and test environment readiness;Lead release activities with technical and functional participants during deployment;Communicate to executive stakeholders, team leads and individual contributors;Identify, track & resolve release issues in preparation for and during a release;Escalate when necessary and recommend areas or actions for improvement.What we’re looking for:Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or similar6+ years’ experience delivering complex system integration projects;Strong familiarity with IT project management methodologies and associated working practices with an ability to adjust as needed;Experience working in a complex release management environment;Ability to execute release management activities including release planning, phase and scope governance, risk management and environment coordination;Comfort with test management, DevOps and SCRUM tools and processes such as GitHub and Digital.aiFamiliarity with application setup and deployment activities;Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders;Self-starter who is a proactive, motivated, and resourceful individual who takes ownership of their work, embraces challenges, and consistently strives for excellence;Proven record of engaging with executive stakeholders;Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, and standalone SCRUM teams;Ability to read communication styles of team members and contractors who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines;Can adapt to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.A look at our benefitsAt AIG, we have a 100-year legacy of working to make the world a better place.
