POSITION SUMMARY
AXA Partners are seeking a Middleware Engineer to work as part of a support role for a number of our key IT Products including day to day support and project change.
The primary role is a hands on technical Application Support role involving a number of IT Products.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage and maintain the IBM Sterling Integrator system for B2B data exchange
2. Manage and maintain the Automic job scheduling automation system
3. Maintain the technical quality of products – BAU and project changes
4. Support application and operating system patching activities
5. Maintain AXA Group security standards
6. Execute product backlog tasks while working closely with Product Owners and Business Analysts
7. Perform configuration work on key systems
8. Perform operations and system administration tasks
9. Design, build, and support other IT solutions within the team’s scope
10. Execute root cause analysis and corrective actions
11. Collaborate with other technical teams, product teams, the architecture team, and the wider AXA organization
12. Develop technical solutions and enhancements while adhering to development standards
13. Deliver measurable, quality solutions that meet both functional and non-functional requirements
14. Add value at all stages of project and support work (definition, development, deployment)
15. Automate workflows using Jenkins
Reporting/ Working Relationships:
The role of Middleware Engineer will involve working across multiple squads with stakeholders including (but not necessarily limited to):
* Project Managers
* IT Product Delivery Managers
* External Clients
* Domain Leaders

Your Profile
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
1. Knowledge and experience working on IBM Sterling Integrator or similar solutions
2. Knowledge and experience working on Automatic scheduling system
3. Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, etc.) and application patching.
4. Working knowledge of CLI, Basic Networking, File transfers, and SSH
5. Knowledge of Cloud technologies and Platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
6. Understanding of DevOps methodologies, including CI/CD pipelines and automation tools like Jenkins
7. Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions effectively
8. Skills in managing product backlogs and collaborating with Product Owners and Business Analysts
9. Strong ability to work with cross-functional teams, including technical teams, product teams, and architecture teams
10. Competence in developing technical solutions and enhancements to meet business needs
11. Focus on delivering measurable and quality solutions adhering to functional and non-functional requirements
12. Understanding of security standards and practices, particularly within the context of AXA Group
13. Ability to document processes, configurations, and solutions clearly for future reference
Qualifications
1. 6+ years of experience working on Middleware Engineer, Application analyst, Systems administrator or similar roles
2. Relevant third level degree in Information Technology or equivalent
