The Role
Effective procurement of Goods and Services to support the running of Site Operations. Expedite all materials and services as required to ensure that critical milestones are achieved. Complete all activities in accordance with site and corporate procedures, statutory and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
* Works independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision, to complete job related tasks and projects in a safe, compliant and efficient manner.
* Deliver competitive sourcing for Goods and Services required to support Site Operations.
* Converts Requisitions to Purchase Orders on SAP and issues to approved vendors.
* Reviews MRP messages for inventory managed materials and converts to Purchase orders and issues to vendors.
* Maintains Pricing and Vendor Information for Inventory managed materials.
* Liaise with Vendors and internal stakeholders to expedite orders.
* Supports AP team with invoice reconciliation and/or PO amendments.
* Co-ordinates the onboarding of new vendors via PPG online ePRO portal.
* Proactively understand site needs and develop a consolidated, competitive and reliable supplier base.
* Interacts and collaborates with other Strategic Sourcing Team members as required.
* Identifies, understands, manages and communicates with stakeholders. Provides timely updates and reports to stakeholders.
* Drive supplier performance through continuous improvement initiatives and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Develop monthly communication reviews with key stakeholders and the Senior Sourcing specialist. This should involve the review of critical suppliers, upcoming change projects and an understanding of the forward business needs.
* Contribute to the effective roll out of procurement systems in Ireland and ensure all eligible spend is addressed through PPG Procurement Policies.
* Attend and complete all training and development as requested and ensure training compliance at all times.
* Any other duties or responsibilities relevant to the role of Procurement.
Education, Knowledge & Experience
* Degree in Materials Management, Supply Chain Management, IIPMM qualification or equivalent.
* Minimum 3 years technical procurement experience, ideally within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
* Experience managing and maintaining commercial relationships and negotiations.
* High level computer proficiency for example, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP etc.
