We are currently recruiting fora Financial Accountant to join our Wholesale and Foodservices Financial Control team, reporting to the Financial Accounting Team Lead.
Work location is open to Airport Road, Cork or Ballymun, Dublin Please be advised this is a 12 month contract.
The role will be responsible for the following: General Balance Sheet and P&L accounting, working with other members of the divisional and shared services finance teams, and other departments across the business.
Preparation of GL reconciliations via Blackline reconciliation tool Weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting with a heavy focus on period end accounting Interface reconciliation and upload Intercompany accounting, reconciliation, and process improvement.
Preparation and submission of Revenue required documents including SSDT and PPT returns.
Involvement in the External Audit process and control and governance frameworks (including MACSAC and hard close preparations) Understanding and influencing areas of margin reporting for improvement Identify and deliver Continuous Improvement projects as required.
Support the wholesale and foodservice financial control team on compliance issues, risk mitigation and projects as needed.
Provide accurate, timely and relevant information to support business information needs as required Working with other finance members and teams to support the One Financial Control team agenda The successful candidate will have/be: Qualified Accountant with 2 years PQE A self-motivated approach to work - can do attitude, well-organised to effectively deliver high quality results Strong analytical, problem-solving, and excel skills.
Good communication skills with an ability to build cross-functional relationships Attention to detail.
Highly numeric & strong technically with a curiosity for enhancing systems and processes.
Ability to prioritise and multitask in a fast-paced environment Experience of working in a large-scale organization desirable but not essential Experience of Oracle desirable but not essential
