The Opportunity
In this role you will:Lead the delivery of a large-scale data centre construction project in Dublin, with a focus on electrical power systems, including switchgear and substation installations.Act as a visible leader onsite, ensuring progress is maintained and that all work is executed safely and in accordance with project specifications.Coordinate closely with the client team, consultant team, and contractors to manage snagging activities, ensuring timelines are met and quality standards are upheld.Proactively identify issues related to electrical power systems and collaborate with stakeholders to implement effective solutions.Implement and monitor key project processes, particularly those related to electrical installations, making improvements and revisions where necessary to optimise project outcomes.Lead and attend key project meetings, providing technical input on electrical systems and ensuring progress is accurately reported to all stakeholders.Oversee the commissioning of switchgear, substations, and related electrical infrastructure, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and client requirements.Ensure project documentation and procedures are implemented, maintained, and adhered to throughout the lifecycle of the project.We would love to hear from you if you:Have proven experience as a Project Manager on data centre or large-scale industrial projects, with specific expertise in electrical power systems, including switchgear and substations.Possess a recognised project management professional certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or are actively working towards one. We can provide support to help you achieve this.Hold a degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, or a related construction discipline, or have equivalent experience.Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical power infrastructure, including HV/LV systems, switchgear, transformers, and substation design.Are detail-oriented and focused on delivering high-quality outcomes, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to present technical information clearly to various stakeholders.Enjoy building strong relationships with clients, contractors, and team members, fostering a collaborative working environment.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction consultancy and work on a high-profile data centre project in Dublin.
