We are currently recruiting for the role of Service and Support Engineer or Technician to join Piper's Service and Support team in Ireland. This is a permanent, full-time position. The work can be based anywhere in Ireland so willingness and ability to travel within Ireland is required for this position.

Piper is a world leading provider of metering, sampling, and automated data collections systems for the Dairy industry. Piper was founded in 1994 and we export products to the UK, Australia, New Zealand, and the US, as well as servicing the Irish market. This position provides critical service support to many of the country’s leading Dairy Co-ops.
About the Role
This role requires the successful candidate to be comfortable working with computers and in particular MS Office programs, milk tanker maintenance, metering and sampling system maintenance, hydraulics maintenance and pump maintenance. Welding would be a benefit. There will be significant opportunity for progression in this role and a demonstrated willingness to learn new skills will be key.
Responsibilities & Duties
1. Service and maintain Piper equipment on milk tankers including hydraulics and pumps
2. On site visits for scheduled maintenance, breakdown, installation, or replacement of company products
3. On site or remote support for distributors, contractors and end-users
4. Maintaining service records (ESR), noting issue, resolution, materials used and time spent
5. Submit Engineer Service Reports (ESR) to accounts on a weekly basis
6. Respond to support queries in the same working day
7. Providing training to end-users on the proper use of and basic care for the company's products
8. Answering technical questions from distributors, contractors and end-users regarding the organization's installation and/or support services
9. Provide IT support to distributors, contractors and end-users
10. Scheduling and managing end-user, distributor and contractor support calls
11. Participate in developing training programs and training of end-users
12. Participate in developing training programs and training of distributors and contractors
13. Reporting trends in issues or customer suggestions to management
14. Provide holiday cover
Qualifications & Skills
* Excellent communication skills
* Ability to use own initiative
* Ability to work without supervision
* 24 volt DC vehicle electrics competence
* MIG and TIG welding experience beneficial but not a requirement
* Understanding of basic hydraulic systems
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
* IT competence
* Helpful attitude
* Full Driving License

The ideal candidate will be organised and efficient, IT literate, with strong attention to detail, be a good communicator and have previous experience working in a similar environment. The successful candidate will have excellent organizational skills, demonstrate flexibility and have a willingness to learn new skills.

* €28,164.66-€42,405.22 per year
