Project Manager for LIFE on Machair
The National Parks and Wildlife Service Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to lead the implementation of the EU LIFE project 'Protecting and restoring Ireland's network of machair systems and associated breeding wader and pollinator communities.'
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and coordinate the project team, consisting of two Project Ecologists, two Community Engagement Officers, and a Project Administrator.
* Foster productive relationships with stakeholders, including agriculture and tourism sectors, State bodies, local authorities, local communities, and the EU Commission External Moderator.
* Ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard through the use of standard project management techniques.
* Share risk assessments, project progress, and outputs with the Project Steering Group and coordinating beneficiary at regular intervals.
Requirements:
* Minimum Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications in a relevant subject (e.g. natural sciences or agricultural science).
* At least 5 years' experience in project and financial management.
* A full clean driving license and access to own transport.
* Relevant competencies, including leadership, management, analysis, interpersonal skills, specialist knowledge, and self-development.
Eligibility:
* Citizenship of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or a non-EEA citizen with a Stamp 4 permission.
