We are looking for a Contracted Audio Designer who will work closely with the Audio Director and Game Director to ensure the quality of the audio content and its integration as a gameplay element. The candidate will understand the game vision and how to drive it to the next level with all areas of audio including music, ambience, SFX, VO and more.
This is a 12 month contract position.
What We Are Looking For
* A passionate game audio designer, who has experience with audio implementation: You love to bring visuals to life with sound.
* A passionate gamer: You are a gamer who grew up playing games and can recognize what separates exceptional games from the average ones. You understand the mindset of gamers which enables you to create and implement features that will further benefit the game.
* Being focused on sound design and audio implementation. This is not a role for music composing.
What You Will Do
* Create audio assets per the design document while pushing the design.
* Create solid variations for randomised playback.
* Create and record original, bespoke sounds.
* Use audio processing to deliver artistic content.
* Deliver on time and on spec.
* Document progress and track assets.
* Audio implementation.
What You Need To Have
* 5+ years of production experience in Games, and Audio Post.
* Strong understanding of FMOD middleware, and professional FMOD experience.
* Familiarity with common DAWs.
* Passion for FPS games.
* Field and foley recording equipment and experience.
What Is Nice To Have
* Minimum of 1 shipped AAA game.
* Good communication skills and experience working in a creative team.
* Unreal Engine experience.
* Audio implementation experience.
* 3 year + FMOD experience.
* Familiarity with Confluence / JIRA / Perforce (preferred, not required).
