Oliver James is recruiting a Finance Manager on behalf of a leading Irish institution.
This position will oversee a key growth function within the business, where volume has surged more than threefold over the past five years.
Operating in a fast-moving and ever-evolving environment, this function is instrumental in sustaining a healthy cash flow while catering to the demands of an expanding and increasingly complex customer base.
The Finance Manager will focus heavily on maximising revenue, maintaining strong credit control, fostering team development, and enhancing systems, in addition to contributing to strategic initiatives.
Furthermore, the role will provide crucial financial insight and support to management teams across the organisation.
ResponsibilitiesOversee end-to-end revenue procedures for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end, ensuring reports are accurate, timely, and fully accounted for in management reporting.Analyse and review financial reporting inputs, preparing and presenting detailed commentary and financial insights.Assist the Finance Manager and broader team in ensuring swift settlement of outstanding balances, with an emphasis on debtor control and optimising automated information exchanges with clients to facilitate timely payments.Conduct regular balance sheet reconciliations, swiftly addressing any discrepancies.Lead the development and refinement of revenue systems, ensuring seamless organisational transitions and system updates through project management, testing, and staff training.Apply specialist knowledge to drive system enhancements, process automation, and business transformation initiatives.Work closely with the Commercial Team to develop and refine revenue budgets and forecasts.Support commercial leadership with financial tasks, offering analytical insights and responding to ad-hoc data requests.Manage and guide the Finance Revenue team, ensuring clear role accountability, structured training, and ongoing professional development.Knowledge & ExperienceThe ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with 2-5 years of post-qualification expertise in revenue accounting and credit control.
A proven track record in change management, system optimisation, and leading high-performing teams is essential.
