Financial Controller Required for Leading Construction Company
Job Description
The role involves reporting to and supporting the Finance Director on the performance and strategic development of the finance function.
* Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and other financial reports for review
* Maintaining and controlling check and balances on various nominal ledger accounts in line with month end preparation
* Oversight of Group payroll, supplier, and subcontractor functions
Key Responsibilities
* Leading and developing a high-performing finance team
* Fostering a culture of growth and efficiency
Managing a team of 4 account staff, reviewing and authorizing payment files on online banking platforms, ensuring full statutory and regulatory compliance across areas such as VAT, tax, and other regulatory obligations in multi-jurisdictions.
Preparing annual budgets, short-term, and long-term cash flows, engaging with the commercial department to ensure accuracy of various rates in use for estimating on projects.
Preparing information for external auditors for the annual audit.
Ideal Candidate
ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualified with minimum 3-5+ years of experience in a similar role.

* Results-driven, proactive, and commercially aware
* Excellent attention to detail
* Ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights
Experience in a multi-currency and multi-jurisdictional setting is an advantage.
