Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Site Engineer to manage construction works on site, ensuring they are completed safely and in line with the project's program and drawings.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Managing day-to-day site technical and engineering requirements, including RFIs, Submittals, and Shop Drawings;
* Implementing quality control measures in accordance with the BCAR plan;
* Liaising with consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, and quantity surveyors;
* Supporting the Project Manager/Contracts Manager to ensure works are completed as per programme and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
1. Site management: oversee construction works to ensure compliance with the project's program, drawings, and specifications;
2. Techical management: assume day-to-day management of site technical and engineering requirements;
3. Quality control: implement and maintain quality control measures in line with the BCAR plan;
4. Collaboration: liaise with consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery;
5. Project support: assist the Project Manager/Contracts Manager in achieving project goals.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A third-level qualification in Engineering or a related discipline;
* Knowledge of various construction types and techniques;
* Competence in set out, survey, and level, as well as temporary works coordination;
* Strong numeracy and report writing skills;
* Ability to formulate plans and execute them within budget and timeline;
* Decision-making skills and ability to escalate issues when necessary.
