About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to support the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems for a power generation station in Dublin.
This role involves working closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver innovative and efficient engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed mechanical designs and specifications for power generation equipment and systems.Create 3D models, drawings, and technical documentation using CAD software.Conduct engineering calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies to ensure optimal system performance.Collaborate with electrical and project engineers to integrate mechanical designs with other systems.Support the selection of materials and components based on project requirements.Perform design reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning phases.Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues and implementing design improvements.Requirements:
Bachelor`s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Proven experience in mechanical design, preferably within the power generation or heavy engineering sector.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and mechanical systems.Experience with power generation equipment such as engines, turbines, or generators is an advantage.Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork abilities.Contract Details:
