Accounting Manager
We are seeking an experienced Finance professional with strong team management and technical accounting expertise to lead our finance team in Cork. The ideal candidate will be involved in projects and process improvements, and will have the opportunity to develop their skills and career in a dynamic and competitive environment.
Responsibilities:
1. Design and maintain operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency within your area of responsibility.
2. Manage, prepare, administer, and direct the monthly and quarter-end, year-end accounting close and financial reporting activities for your area of responsibility.
3. Ensure SOX compliance and internal/external audits, working closely with Internal and External Auditors.
4. Prepare timely local Statutory accounts, Direct/Corporate Tax returns, and tax provision calculations.
5. Complete the monthly and quarterly fluctuation analysis and reporting to Corporate HQ for the countries under your responsibility.
6. Review and approve accounting transactions and account reconciliations.
7. Lead a continuous improvement culture.
8. Develop strong relationships with stakeholders and customers (internal and external).
9. Manage and continue to develop a professional multi-task accounting team in a deadline-driven environment.
10. Limited travel may be required when necessary.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or equivalent qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or similar.
* Proven track record of team management experience.
* Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Oracle or similar software.
* Previous experience in fast-paced multinational environments, with Shared Service Centre experience preferred.
