Due to continued growth and expansion our clients are currently looking for a project manager to join their team covering the Cavan, Athlone, and Midlandss area.
Main Purpose of the Role:
To manage a site workforce in a safe and diligent manner, to the highest possible standard, on time and in line with the specification and design information provided
Works in Conjunction with:
Contracts Manager Site Managers Design Team Quantity Surveyors Health & Safety Advisor Site Engineers Nominated Subcontractors Main Duties & Responsibilities: Taking a project from design phase to handover Managing Design Co ordination workshops with design team, consultants, and trade Contractors Ensuring design is fully coordinated prior to starting on site where possible.
Overseeing construction operations on your designated sites Ensuring that work complies with building regulations where applicable. Working with an appointed safety consultant to ensure all safety regulations are being adhered to. Co
* Ordinating day to day site activities and nominated sub contractors.
Liaising with Head office to ensure materials and labor are called to site when required. Conducting Daily & weekly safety checks and ensuring appointed sub-contractors are adhering to safety protocol. Monitoring the construction programme and enabling the subcontractors to conduct their works in accordance with their contract programme.
Ensuring quality checks are carried out at various stages of the build & ensuring QA checks are being carried out.
Liaising with Local authority representatives and assigned certifiers to obtain handover of completed phases. Dealing with any day-to-day problems which could hold up work as they arise.
Liaising closely with Contracts Manager, Quantity Surveyors Site managers, Finishing Foreman to ensure a high standard of work is achieved.
Working closely with junior staff, Subcontractors, engineers, and external utility companies. Updating and reporting back to head office regularly on progress. Liaising with clients and keeping them updated on progress and upcoming milestones. Embrace digital technology & Modern Methods of Construction systems used by the company. Organise and liaise with the factory to schedule deliveries.
Ideal Candidate:
Bachelors Degree in a related field / Leaving Certificate or equivalent Ability to prioritize workload and co-ordinate several projects at the same time.
To work on own initiative and be willing to work in a team Strong communication skills and the ability to build a relationship with clients Excellent written, strong communication and interpersonal skills Good relationship management skills to work with our Project Teams Experience of some contract administration is an advantage Good knowledge or MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) Some experience in a similar role an advantage.
