Tax Accountant required to join a rapidly growing firm based in Dublin. My client is looking for an enthusiastic individual who has previous VAT compliance experience to join their dynamic and growing finance function in one of Europe's businesses on a full-time, permanent basis.
Due to workload situation as a result of recent success and acquisition, a Tax Accountant is required and will be responsible for the global VAT compliance. You will work within a stable team carrying out varied duties including VAT filings, managing audits, VAT reconciliation and progressing to other duties below.
Key responsibilities of the Tax Accountant
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of VAT filings in compliance with specified deadlines.
* Manage large volumes of data for VAT return preparation.
* Collaborate with the in-house Tax Specialist and external Tax Advisors to ensure precise reporting.
* Maintain VAT control logs to track compliance and reporting accuracy.
* Prepare VAT reconciliations and claims in a timely manner to optimize cash flow.
* Assist with other tax-related matters as needed.
* Support the implementation of e-invoicing regulations.
* Prepare SII reconciliations or similar real-time tax reporting where applicable.
* Handle Intrastat reporting and other indirect tax filings as required per jurisdiction.
* Assist in VAT audits by responding to information requests and providing necessary documentation.
Required skills and experience of the Tax Accountant
* ACA/ACCA/CTA - Qualified or Part Qualified
* Experience within industry or practice with VAT reporting and compliance.
* International VAT exposure.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
* Managing stakeholder expectations & relationships and working to strict deadlines
* Excellent communication and written skills.
* Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
