Your new company
Your new company works across the Commercial, Hotel & Leisure, Education and Residential, taking a unique approach to construction, fit out and refurbishment tailored for each project.They currently have two live projects in Dublin City Centre and are now seeking a Site Engineer to join the team on one of these.
Your new role
You will be responsible for controlling, reviewing, delivering, maintaining, fulfilling various tasks such as reviewing drawings, safety precautions, environmental procedures that will be needed to complete within the timeline, budget and requirements of the senior and site managers who you will be reporting to. Below are the duties and responsibilities that must be fulfilled:
1. Ensure accurate setting out and levelling of the works in accordance with drawings/ specifications.
2. Ensure all drawings and information relating to your area of work are accurate and up to date.
3. Review Architect/Engineer/Services/Sub-Contractor drawings to ensure co-ordination and integration.
4. Ensure quality control and testing of work and materials is carried out in accordance with the specification requirements.
5. Ensure works are carried out in accordance with the Construction Programme
6. Carry out check on works prior to and following any concrete pours.
7. Fulfil the role of Temporary Works Co-Ordinator when required.
8. Acting as the main technical advisor, direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors when required, resolving any technical issues that may arise.
9. Liaising with local authorities as appropriate to ensure compliance with local construction regulations.
10. Delivering Induction and Toolbox talks on site.
11. Control and monitor site waste in accordance with the Company’s Site Waste Minimisation and Management policy.
12. Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of own activity related to projects on Gateway to enable traceability.
13. Establish, maintain and build good relations with clients as well as their representatives and liaise with project team and sub- contractors to ensure they do likewise.
14. Fulfil health, safety and welfare responsibilities as detailed in the Company’s Policy and in compliance with ISO 45001.
15. Maintain quality and environmental control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001and ISO 14001.
What you'll need to succeed
16. A Degree or HND/HNC/BTEC in Building Engineering, Civil/Construction Engineering or Construction
17. CSR or CSCS Card
18. 3 Years recent relevant experience as Site Engineer
19. Understanding of the construction process
20. Experience in AutoCAD and relevant technical knowledge.
21. Experience with RC is beneficial
22. Sound knowledge of construction methods, health and safety and legal regulations
23. Ability to create and maintain good working relationships
What you'll get in return
The salary being offered ranges from €55,000 - €65,000 depending on the level of expertise and experience you have. This also includes a laptop and a phone as well as vehicle allowance, a pension scheme will also be arranged for you.
