Our client is a leading provider of mechanical, electrical, and building services, specializing in the design, construction, and commissioning of complex infrastructure projects across Leinster. This company was founded over 30 years ago and has a strong presence in the Irish market, dedicated to delivering high-quality projects on time and to the highest safety and quality standards. As a result of continuous growth, they require an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer for a project in Dublin.
Our client is currently looking for an ambitious Project Engineer to join their ever-growing team. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent technical skills and proven experience in all aspects of mechanical services, construction, safety, and client satisfaction. Some of the duties you will undertake include:
* Undertake a full design review of drawings, specifications, and schedules to ensure compliance with the applicable standards and industry guides.
* Ensure works are installed in accordance with project specifications and to the project QA plan (namely pre-agreed benchmarking). Responsible for developing engineering alternative solutions, including detailed calculations and sketches for client approval.
* Ensure the specialist supplier packages are reviewed accordingly with the project specification, applicable industry standards, and design intent specifications.
* Manage procurement schedules in conjunction with the Procurement team.
* Improve engineering alternative solutions, ensuring a detailed breakdown of calculations and sketches to meet the client’s expectations.
* Collaborate with the quality team to assess BCAR preliminary inspection plan.
What Skills & Qualifications You Need:
You will be degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or hold a similar degree. Ability to work as part of a team or on your own initiative is essential. Previous experience in a similar role is required. Ensure project deadlines are met to a satisfactory level. Ensure all relevant skills are incorporated into your day-to-day duties. A thorough understanding of AUTOCAD, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office Packages is necessary.
