Logistics Specialist Primary Purpose: The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating daily transportation activities, ensuring smooth inbound and outbound transportation, and supporting logistics-related tasks under the supervision of the Logistics Supervisor. Key duties include scheduling, invoice administration, and freight claim management. Key Responsibilities: Transportation Coordination Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation between suppliers and warehouse providers. Ensure carriers meet pickup and delivery expectations and escalate issues as needed. Invoice Auditing Audit and approve carrier invoices to ensure accurate and timely payment. Claims Management Submit freight damage and loss claims to appropriate carriers. Process Execution & Collaboration Work with the Logistics Supervisor to ensure transportation functions align with departmental goals. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of transportation operations. Key Stakeholders: Supervisor, Logistics: Direct supervisor for guidance. Manager, Supply Chain: Skip-level manager. Logistics Analyst: Mentorship and support. Customer Solutions: Coordination for outbound transportation. Supply Planner: Coordination for inbound transportation. Commercial Team: Coordination for inbound transportation. Education, Experience & Training: Associates or Bachelors degree (preferred) or equivalent experience. Background in logistics or supply chain preferred. Specialized Knowledge & Skills: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize workload and multitask efficiently. Adaptability in interacting with customers, suppliers, and external partners. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
