CSA Design Engineer – Cork
Reporting to the CSA Department Manager, the successful CSA (Civil Structural Architectural) Project Engineer will be a senior member of the CSA Department.
He/she will have notable cross-discipline design and technical experience in addition to the ability to communicate and engage with stakeholders at all levels as required. With the ability to support the end-to-end project deliverables at all stages, the CSA Project Engineer will be integral to the delivery of high valued projects for major Pharma clients.
The post-holder will be highly motivated to succeed in a dynamic, high-pressure, and fast evolving environment. A strong interest and curiosity in all aspects of the construction industry is expected. The role is a technical project lead that will complement that of the Architect and Structural Engineer.
A key part of the role is the need to prioritise and co-ordinate an in-house team of engineers and technicians to successfully deliver compliant building facilities. In addition to working as part of a high-performance team, the CSA Project Engineer will hold responsibility for effectively supporting the CSA Teams and CSA Manager to ensure that relationships are maintained, expectations are met, and DPS interests are upheld.
Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years post graduate experience in the Industrial, Pharmaceutical, Life Sciences and Bio-pharma sectors.
* In depth knowledge of Statutory Consent Processes, Building Regulations and BC(A)R process is essential.
* Demonstrable design, technical and construction knowledge is essential for this role. Strong detailing, design development and tender pack assembly experience.
* Experience in leading a design team and coordinating the other team members.
* Specialist experience in key technical areas to include but not limited to OSD, Filling suites, packaging area requirements, cleanroom layouts & laboratory design experience desirable with good knowledge of utility requirements.
* Strong working knowledge of structural design and analysis software such as Revit, Tekla (or equivalent).
