The GIS Project Leader is a leadership role and will be required to lead a team or teams and to provide technical and managerial support across all local authority service areas and to liaise with external agencies.
The primary role is as a GIS Project Leader within the ICT Section, and will be to lead and co-ordinate GIS systems, lead on business process improvement activities and strategy.
However, the position will also require a flexibility to work in other IT areas such as Business Systems Implementation, applications and data analytics and require adaptability to undertake IT work at a similar level elsewhere in the IT structure.
The person/s appointed will work under the direction and control of the Head of Information systems, within the ICT Department.
Due to the dynamic nature of the IS environment and the pace of change of systems and equipment, allied to the constantly developing business requirements within Louth County Council, all IS Section posts require a flexibility to work on other IS areas as circumstances change.
