You will be responsible for managing all aspects of audit and compliance, transactional finance, management accounts, team management, and leading transformational projects.Overview of dutiesTransformational Projects:Drive integration and efficiency across various finance processes and systems.Play a key role in bringing management accounts in house & streamlining banking providers.Lead strategic initiatives to integrate acquisitions, ensuring full compliance with NFP's established processes and procedures.Support the Group FC in restructuring the financial control team in Ireland to better meet the needs of the business as we acquire additional companies and further integrate existing entities.Audit and Compliance:Ensure the accuracy and reliability of statutory accounts, taking full ownership of the process.Preparing consolidated financial statements for the holding company and support audit activities in the US.Lead the coordination of the statutory audit for all Irish entities within the NFP Group.Oversee the preparation of Central Bank of Ireland (CBI) returns, VAT, corporation tax calculations, and P30 returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Transactional Finance:Review and approve accounts payable transactions and ensure weekly payment processes are efficient for all Irish entities.Authorise payments to insurers, monitor staff expenses and credit card activity.Review and coordinate the accounts receivable function.Management Accounts:Collaborate with the operations director to classify income and support revenue analysis.Coordinate the month-end process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Perform variance analysis, comparing actual results to the budget, and manage intercompany reconciliations.Review and ensure the accuracy of Income statement & Balance Sheet workbooks.Oversee the process of preparing and submitting financial information to the group.Support the Group FC in reviewing the general ledger system and understanding regional and in-country requirements within Ireland and the wider NFP group.Team Management:Lead a team, setting annual objectives, conducting reviews, and providing day to day support.Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.Person specificationKnowledge, skills and abilities:Strong understanding of audit and compliance processes, financial reporting, and tax regulations in Ireland.Exceptional leadership abilities with experience managing finance teams.Excellent analytical, problem solving, and project management skills.Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Highly personable; ability to work both independently and as part of multiple teams.Education / and or ExperienceProven post qualification experience as a Finance Controller or similar role.Degree level or equivalent educational qualifications.Fully qualified accountant: ACA/ACCA is preferable.Key information:Hours: 35 hoursLocation: Blackrock, HybridWhat you’ll love about usWe may be a global business, but our culture is united and truly collaborative.
