The role: Accommodation Services Assistant
Reporting to: General Manager
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Responsible for the cleaning, sanitizing, and maintaining of guest bedrooms and public areas of the hotel to an approved standard.
2. Clean and sanitize guest bedrooms that are allocated to the correct standard – which includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting furniture, removing rubbish, replenishing the rooms with towels and toiletries, and vacuuming the room.
3. Clean corridors, including glass (fire doors) and any other furniture that is on the corridors and stairways.
4. Remove and dispose of any rubbish to the appropriate areas.
5. Have a comprehensive knowledge of the appropriate use of various cleaning materials and detergents.
6. Ensure proper cleaning and care of equipment.
7. Report any maintenance issues or lost property to the supervisor.
8. Greet and acknowledge guests that you meet throughout your working day.
9. Deal with any guest queries in a professional and friendly manner.
SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE
1. Excellent attention to detail.
2. Be a team player and have the ability to multitask.
3. Previous experience not essential as full training will be provided.
