Ireland Controller (Commercial & Industrial)
The Role:
Opportunity for a senior finance professional to lead month-end, year-end and all reporting activities for our clients Cork Plant and Irish Branch. Lead the group business planning and controlling activities for the branch and the plant and business partnering to the commercial / operational teams in Ireland supporting business decisions.
Main Responsibilities:
Industrial Controlling:
1. Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end processes, compliance with group reporting standards, and provide insights on costs, efficiencies, and KPIs.
2. Coordinate the plant's budgeting process, identify R&O and provide monthly forecast updates to the group.
3. Support the Plant Manager in creating budgets and SAF by analyzing performance, production models, and improvement projects.
4. Oversee production factors (e.g., materials, labour, waste, machines), analyze variances and KPIs, and develop monitoring tools to identify risks, opportunities, and improvements.
Commercial Controlling activities:
1. Lead the financial analysis and manage the delivery of financial results in the branch.
2. Support the definition of targets in terms of financial statements and investments for institutional scenarios (SAF / Budget).
3. Follow up actuals vs. planned initiatives and monitor results, return on investments (ROI) of new activities.
4. Facilitate discussion and support business decision making processes by business partnering with commercial teams for pricing customer analysis and operational teams for operational process analysis.
5. Monitor local costs vs. the previous year and institutional scenarios, monitor cost allocation between SKUs/entities to ensure the right representation of branch P&L.
Requirements:
1. 10-15 years of experience.
2. Preferably prior experience with Hyperion Financial Management, SAP, and advanced Microsoft Office.
3. Strong IFRS knowledge and experience in preparation of financial statements under local GAAP.
4. Collaborative, proactive and able to work across teams.
5. Proven management or supervisory experience.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and proactivity.
7. Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
