Position: Revenue Accountant
Natus Sensory is seeking a proven and experienced Revenue Accountant to join our Global Accounting team. The Revenue Accountant will be responsible for ensuring the accurate recording and reporting of revenue transactions, in compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606. This role will also involve monthly reconciliations, accrual calculations, and close collaboration with various business units and IT to resolve any accounting issues related to revenue recognition.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Provide support to the Controller with all aspects of revenue recognition, including but not limited to documenting the review of sales contracts and agreements for revenue recognition treatment, reconciling deferred revenue during the month-end close, tracking and reporting lease revenue under ASC 606, and reporting revenue numbers on a weekly basis to management.
* Responsible for revenue reporting to ensure revenue transactions are accurately recorded and in compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606 standards.
* Prepare and/or support the preparation of monthly journal entries, consolidating entries, and month-end analyses in the area of revenue recognition.
Additional Responsibilities:
* Accruals Management: Perform the calculation, posting, and analysis of monthly accruals, ensuring alignment with revenue recognition policies.
* Intercompany Netting: Oversee and manage intercompany netting processes, ensuring accurate reconciliation of intercompany transactions and minimizing discrepancies across subsidiaries.
* Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations for revenue-related accounts during the month-end closing process.
* Business Unit Collaboration: Partner with business units to analyze and document revenue transactions, addressing and resolving any relevant accounting issues.
* Ad Hoc Analysis: Assist in various ad hoc projects and financial analysis as requested by management.
Travel Required: Some travel is required, up to 20%.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
Qualifications Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in revenue and general accounting, with at least 1-3 years of experience in a multinational company.
* Working proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (experience with Oracle preferred or similar is a plus).
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of accounting principles, internal controls, and revenue recognition standards (US GAAP and ASC 606).
* Ensure compliance with all financial reporting and regulatory requirements for revenue recognition across various regions, products, and policies.
* Strong ability to analyze complex transactions, identify issues, and implement solutions efficiently.
* Exceptional problem-solving skills, analytical mindset, and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build partnerships and foster collaboration.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial reporting and reconciliations.
