Company: Expanding Life Science ManufacturerOverview:An expanding life science manufacturer in the West of Ireland is seeking an experienced Associate Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS). This is a pivotal role within the site's senior leadership team, responsible for shaping and delivering all EHS strategies and operations.Key Responsibilities:Leadership: Provide leadership and management to the EHS team, including direct oversight of the EHS Manager.EHS Programmes: Establish and implement effective EHS programmes in compliance with legislative and corporate requirements, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.Compliance & Strategy: Develop integrated Environmental, Occupational Health & Safety, and Energy Management Systems. Provide strategic guidance to ensure compliance with licences, legislation, and best practices.Audits & Assessments: Oversee audits, assessments, surveys, and reports to maintain the highest EHS standards.Emergency Response: Develop and direct emergency response, loss prevention, occupational health services, training, occupational hygiene programmes, and process safety initiatives.Future Planning: Identify future EHS needs and ensure alignment with recognised EHS management standards and industry best practices.Experience & Qualifications:BSc in Occupational Safety & Health (Level 8) or equivalent.8-10+ years of EHS experience within life science manufacturing (pharma preferred).Proven leadership skills, with a strong track record of people management and development.MSc in Environmental Health & Safety.Attributes:Strong strategic vision and the ability to drive EHS excellence.Effective communicator with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.Demonstrated success in leading EHS compliance and operational programmes in a manufacturing setting.The Next Step for you:Should this position be of interest to you please forward your CV to Sarah Mac Mullan from Next Generation Recruitment or alternatively call on the main line on 00 353 1 6498546.Applications are in strict confidence.
