Accounts Assistant
Our client, a unique employer in the Northwest, is seeking an Accounts Assistant to work with their finance team. This role reports directly to the Accounts Supervisor and involves accurate and timely recording of accounts payable/receivable, general accounts, and financial accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly bank reconciliations of the client's accounts and accurate posting to the finance system of related transactions.
- Supplier reconciliations, including central billing accounts reconciliation.
- Cash handling duties, as required, including bank lodgment reconciliations.
- Assistance with Sales Ledger, Purchase Ledger on an ad-hoc basis when necessary.
- Handling finance queries appropriately.
- Ad hoc finance projects, including system reviews, process improvements, and efficiency measures.
- Additional duties relevant to this position and enhancing financial skills and experience.
Requirements:
- Either a business/finance graduate, accounting technician, or part-qualified accountant with 2-3 years' experience in a similar finance role.
- Proficiency with MS Excel and accounting software.
- Willingness to learn and gain experience working in a busy finance department.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
