Electric Square Ireland is our brand-new 5th studio. It has big ambitions and a forward-thinking approach to game development, following in the footsteps of its world-class HQ in Brighton. We are searching for a talented and experienced Lead Programmer to join as a founding member of the studio and influence the creation of a world-class team and their debut title. The Lead Programmer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing systems and game code, and is happy to turn their hand to any task required. They are an active member of the code team, setting an example for and mentoring less experienced programmers.

Experience & Requirements
A Lead Programmer at Electric Square Ireland:
1. Leads code team, passing on experience and expertise and leads by example.
2. Develops technical design specifications for complex projects and implements them.
3. Designs, develops, writes, tests and implements systems and game code.
4. Works with designers, artists and other personnel involved in the development process as required to create the highest possible quality product.
5. Tests and refines gameplay features throughout the development cycle of the project.
6. Mentors and conducts regular one to ones with project engineering team.
7. Estimates own tasks and delivers high quality code to that schedule.
8. Performs code reviews with the team to ensure code quality.
9. Able to communicate effectively with our clients and maintain strong relationships with them.
What we'd love to see from you:
1. Proficient in C/C++ with a minimum of 6 years experience.
2. 5 years experience working in the video games industry.
3. 4 years experience in console or mobile programming.
4. Worked on at least 2 shipped games.
