Delivers products and services to partners and consumers to maximize business value and in addition provide aftersales returns and care supportability. Channel Operations collaborates with Microsoft channel partners to understand and deliver to service level expectations whilst optimizing inventory levels that enable business groups to meet or exceed revenue goals. In addition, the team understands and brings customer and demand insights to Microsoft Supply Chain organization at a country/account level. The Supply Chain Analyst is a pivotal role connecting Microsoft's supply chain with field teams and customers. Supporting a dedicated geography, this individual has the remit of working with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business targets and high standards of customer satisfaction.
The candidate will be a problem solver and be resourceful, creative, and willing to work with and through others to be successful. Collaboration is a critical skill in this role. Strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical thinking are necessary for driving a high level of impact and influence across both internal and external key stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
1. Demand Planning (50%):
1. Drive demand planning efforts for HW products, across varying Product-Customer-Geographic grains (Business Unit/Product Family/SKU, Partner/Store, Territory/Country) and time horizons. This includes collaborative planning & forecasting, demand availability management & analysis, exception management, supply optimization, and balancing inventory seasonality to inform country and area demand plans and product transitions.
2. Leverage demand/supply reconciliation and sell down plans (EOL) to shape the current quarter and maximize financial targets.
2. Execution and Performance Management (20%):
1. Support regional performance within current quarter (Sell In/Sell Thru attainment & analysis, channel inventory analysis, ending inventory & gap analysis). Ensure key demand & supply metrics are understood and actioned accordingly, including root cause investigation and leading cross-team efforts to drive necessary improvements.
2. Support Process Optimization: Lead Aged Inventory/rework analysis and recommendation. Support STO and Reservations processes and decisions.
3. Ensure demand deviation governance is in place to drive action for unplanned regional requests.
4. Drive collaborative planning with key Supply Planners/Channel Managers across geographies and Channel to support DC and Channel inventory management processes and targets.
5. Development of key communication reports and processes for stakeholders.
3. Channel/Customer Operational Support (20%):
1. Local demand availability management activities, providing supply visibility to demand and availability between territories, accounts, ensuring allocation execution.
2. Operational performance of demand fulfilment activities including order book management and delivery of goods.
3. Identifying and implementing transformational initiatives that deliver significant positive differentiators resulting in increased service level and performance across territories and accounts both for supply and returns.
4. Contribute to sales planning accuracy by ensuring that latest availability information is used in sales planning related decision-making forums and managing demand related risks with relevant supply and sales teams.
5. Monitor and manage key business metrics to influence continuous improvement and adherence to the process.
6. Lead engagement with internal stakeholders on improvement initiatives, focusing on cost saving and leveraging best practices across all regions and Areas.
7. Help team plan and execute programs - including team building and cultural pillar support.
