Aramark is currently recruiting for a Tax Manager to join our team in Dublin. This is a permanent position based in Northern Cross Dublin 17.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the tax compliance of multiple legal entities in Ireland and will be the main point of contact within the Aramark Tax Team for any Irish tax related queries or projects. For the role, Irish VAT experience is essential with experience of other non-VAT related taxes desirable, but not essential.
Reporting to the Tax Director in the UK, the successful candidate will be required to manage and take full responsibility for the following:
Compliance
* Leading the VAT compliance across multiple Irish legal entities, supported by the Tax Assistant.
* Implementation of continuous improvement and standardisation of VAT return processes.
* Other non-VAT related compliance including corporation tax returns, RCT and other statistical returns, supported by the Tax Assistant.
* Exploring potential opportunities within the business to improve ongoing tax compliance processes.
* Management of audits and enquiries from the tax authorities.
Consulting
* Supporting the business on all VAT / indirect tax matters, including:
* Reviewing legal agreements to ensure VAT matters are documented correctly.
* VAT on property transactions.
* Advising Commercial Finance teams to ensure ongoing VAT compliance.
* Providing training to other areas of the business on VAT and RCT.
* Advising and supporting the business on changes in tax legislation.
* Supporting on UK VAT queries and projects as required.
* Supporting the Tax Director on ad-hoc tax issues and projects as they arise.
In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to:
* Train and support the Tax Assistant with their development.
* Keep up to date with changes in legislation which may impact Aramark.
* Build effective working partnerships with colleagues across Ireland, UK and USA.
* Liaise with external advisors where applicable.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Professional Qualification(s).
* Experience of VAT in Ireland is essential. Experience of VAT in Catering/Service Sector would be desirable, but not essential.
* Experience of non-VAT (e.g. corporation tax and employment taxes) would be desirable, but not essential.
* Experience of UK VAT and other jurisdictions would be desirable, but not essential.
* Ability to prioritise workload and keep to deadlines.
* Excellent communication and report writing skills.
* Good level of IT skills and literacy, especially Excel.
The role would suit a commercially aware individual with the ability to work independently and proactively on a broad range of tax issues.
