What You’ll Do as a Legal Counsel
In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:
1. Operate as a key business partner to support and advise on a range of commercial legal matters and in doing so actively contribute to the ongoing success of the Primark business.
2. Lead on the drafting, review, and negotiation of a variety of commercial contracts.
3. Provide commercially focused, pragmatic legal advice that supports Primark’s growing business.
4. Partner with teams across the organisation to deliver solutions aligned with our business objectives while upholding our values.
5. Monitor and provide updates on legal developments affecting the retail industry and help the business prepare.
6. Effectively collaborate with outside law firms when needed, managing timelines and budgets for this as required to ensure maximum value for Primark.
What You’ll Bring
Here at Primark, we want everyone to feel valued – so please bring your authentic self to work, of course with some other key experience and abilities for this role in particular:
1. Talented solicitor with 2 - 5 years PQE, including experience in private practice in Ireland or the UK.
2. Excellent academics and legal experience relevant to Primark’s business.
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
4. Strong experience in commercial contract drafting and negotiation.
5. Ability to apply a rigorous legal interpretation without compromising the business.
6. A history of developing effective working relationships across all levels of an organisation.
7. A strong work ethic and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
