Family Based Service Team Lead – Parents Under Pressure
To lead out on and deliver a family-based service within the CH04 area- utilising the Parents Under Pressure (PUP) integrated framework to inform the work carried out with families experiencing adversity due to past or current substance use.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver and develop a Family Based service in line with best practice.
* Provide support to families in the CH04 area who are experiencing adversity, including addiction problems, domestic violence, financial difficulties, homelessness, and minimal support structures.
* Communicate effectively with other team members and agencies to ensure Multidisciplinary Team service provision across the geographical work area.
* Work within limits of professional competence in line with principles of best practice, professional conduct, and clinical governance.
* Conduct thorough assessments with individual families and engage parents in their own individualised and tailored therapeutic family support plan.
* Provide case management supports to Families and work as a member of a Multidisciplinary Team.
* Facilitate Group sessions, including PuP group, psycho educational workshops, and Family support if necessary.
* Liaise with other health, social care, and community-based services to advocate for service user needs.
* Maintain an effective working relationship with PuP National lead and be open to reasonable requests from line manager.
Leadership and Management:
* Take a leadership role within this team, including line management and supervision of the art therapist, play therapist, and administrator.
* Participate in clinical groups relevant to the service and evaluate systemic approaches to improve the service for service users and families.
* Formulate and implement clinical and operational practices and procedures as appropriate.
* Facilitate PUP training programmes as required.
* Ensure practice is fully compliant with relevant legislation and maintain client records, databases, and statistics.
* Provide statistical returns and additional data as required to support service administration and evaluation.
Education and Training:
* Engage in regular case-management, clinical, and managerial supervision.
* Actively participate in peer clinical supervision.
* Attend mandatory training programmes and take responsibility for being informed of advances in professional knowledge and practice.
* Participate in continuous professional development initiatives.
Requirements:
* Possess a relevant 3rd level qualification such as Counselling, Family Therapy, Social Work etc.
* Holds an active PuP Therapist accreditation and access to Transport.
Skills and Experience:
* Understand the dynamics and interface between the individual and the community.
* Experience in implementation and evaluation of care planning/Case management.
* Has experience of interagency working within support services.
* Demonstrate sufficient professional / clinical knowledge to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the role.
