A well-established consultancy in Westmeath seeks a Quantity Surveyor to work on current and ongoing projects.
The Role
* Taking ownership of designated projects, managing commercial and contractual aspects of relationships with customers, consultants, and subcontractors.
* Measuring, pricing, negotiating, and agreeing budgets and costs for variations to project scope.
* Checking project costs are correct and raising/resolving queries where necessary.
Key Responsibilities
* Attending pre-contract meetings, liaising with construction professionals, and ensuring timely completion of agreed actions.
* Producing and maintaining up-to-date procurement schedules.
* Compiling and issuing invitations to tender, analyzing subcontractor quotations, and making recommendations for order placement.
* Compiling subcontract orders for approval.
* Visiting sites to measure and value completed works, assessing subcontractor payment entitlement, and processing payments.
* Reconciling cost and value to date/forecast to inform the management team of project performance.
Requirements
* Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management.
* A minimum of three years' experience as a QS, preferably at a consultancy.
* Motivated, driven, and able to work within a team.
* Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word.
