Job Title
A permanent position is available in our South Dublin office, requiring 3 days per week attendance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Monthly P&L/Balance Sheet Reporting:
o Manage month-end process and timetable to meet reporting deadlines.
o Prepare consolidated month-end accounts and reporting pack, including P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, and KPIs.
o Investigate variances versus budget and prior year, providing commentaries.
o Implement robust procedures to ensure accuracy of accruals and reported figures.
o Streamline reporting timelines.
* Reconciliations and Internal Controls:
o Maintain and review suitable internal control systems, authorisation controls, and reconciliations.
o Authorise bank payments, ensuring correct approvals are obtained.
o Identify and implement ongoing process improvements.
o Ensure accounts are prepared in accordance with accounting standards.
o Maintain tax, audit, and statutory compliance.
o Update the Accounting software and chart of accounts.
* Audit, Tax, and Compliance:
o Organise external audit timetable with auditors.
o Manage audit work program and queries, ensuring timely responses.
o Implement internal control recommendations.
o Prepare corporation tax computation and filing.
o Prepare final statutory accounts for filing.
* Working Capital/Cashflow Management:
o Prioritise cash to meet payroll, supplier, tax, loan, and other payment commitments.
o Maintain a weekly cashflow forecast to plan future cashflows.
* Process Improvement:
o Review day-to-day finance operations to eliminate inefficiencies.
o Expand knowledge of group CRM and Finance systems to integrate and automate financial processes.
o Review and update financial policies and procedures, developing new ones as necessary.
* Management of Finance Team:
o Lead AP, AR, and billing teams, implementing best practices.
o Perform performance management and review KPIs.
