About the role
The primary focus for this role is to promote Kerry’s Taste & Nutrition, Animal Health and Nutrition platforms to the European Animal Nutrition Market. This person will work closely with the technical team to present our products and data to customers to show the benefits of using our technologies. This is a technical sales role and there needs to be a clear understanding of the industry and how customers view feed additives.
Key responsibilities
1. Establish Kerry as a long-term supplier at national accounts by developing, maintaining, and expanding strong customer working relationships at multiple levels and functions.
2. Utilize both direct contact and relevant trade organization events to build relationships.
3. Participate in the development of annual sales budget targets for assigned accounts and take appropriate actions to achieve targets.
4. Ensure that appropriate resources and actions are recommended to address customer-based issues including competitive threats, product and service complaints, and sales erosion.
5. Pursue and support long-term divisional growth through the development of overall strategies for assigned accounts. Identify and recommend new technologies and new market opportunities related to customer base.
6. Develop project opportunities and ensure communication flow between customers and relevant cross-functional areas.
Qualifications and skills
* Animal Nutrition background, B.S. Animal Science or higher.
* Preferably someone with previous working experience with Animal Nutrition additives, specifically enzymes.
* Must speak English and be able to write in English.
* Proven experience in technical sales to the Animal Nutrition Industry.
* Experience in Animal Nutrition or Production strongly recommended.
* Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills.
* Requires a minimum of 50% travel throughout Europe.
* Willing and able to travel by car and plane.
