PepsiCo is on the lookout for a Senior Automation Engineer to join our Engineering team in Cork on a permanent basis. Responsibilities
1. Lead the automation agenda as part of a multi-discipline team tasked with delivering global solutions.
2. Identify and scope out the Operational Technology and Automation elements of work across the global platform.
3. Responsible for preparation of specifications, proposal review, clarification meetings, technical compliance of the proposal as part of the tender process for all sites.
4. Manage System Integrators and contractors responsible for discrete portions of Automation work during project phases ensuring safe execution, budget control, and schedule adherence.
5. Define and maintain governance for planning, prioritization, delivery, and management of OT/Automation elements of the project.
6. Ensure all projects are designed and executed to the PGCS automation and global PepsiCo specifications standards, ensure all projects meet compliance standards and industry best practice.
7. Develop and provide technical training at all levels on the manufacturing sites to ensure effective handover of OT systems/projects.
8. Leading Cybersecurity workstreams including Disaster Recovery – develop and maintain disaster recovery and cybersecurity incident response plans to ensure business continuity for the OT layers.
Qualifications
1. Automation or Engineering Degree/Master coupled with 5-7 years plus demonstrated track record in chemical or pharma or food environment.
2. Knowledge and experience in defining and implementing strategies and policies for OT environments.
3. Understanding of ICS policy and architecture standards.
4. Experience with development, integration, and project management of automated control systems including PLC’s, SCADA, Batching Systems, etc.
5. Strong background in the development and implementation of Aveva products including system platform, OMI, historian, etc.
6. Knowledge and experience of ITIL practices for service incidents, problem, and change management.
7. Excellent communication skills, be organized and articulate.
8. Change management advocative.
9. Potential travel requirements to other PGCS locations as part of the project.
